About Us

LoCo Glass is the creative partnership formed by Colin and Louise Hawkins. Together they have been designing and making for over ten years. With the help of a talented team of glassmakers and assistants they handblow their glass at the studio, based within the recently refurbished New Brewery Arts Centre in the Cotswolds.

WAY BACK WHEN...

Louise studied design at Goldsmiths College in London, after which she took the Glass Techniques and Technology course at the International Glass Centre, Brierley Hill.

Colin trained in glass at Sunderland University and the Royal College of Art in London.

They formed LoCo Glass in 1998 and assisted in various studios before winning the Broadfield House Scholarship in 1999.

TODAY...

The LoCo Glass studio is open to the public and you are welcome to come and watch the glass being made or just browse the glass that is on display.

We have made glass of all shapes, colours and sizes for interior designers, gardens, exhibitions, shops, restaurants, hotels, weddings, businesses, royal visits, charities, pop stars, schools, festivals, birthday presents, footballers, private collectors, cruise ships, golf clubs, cathedrals...

In fact we are at our most happy when we are asked to make something new that stretches our imagination and challenges our abilities. We could make you a one off piece to comemmorate a special occasion or just repair your aunties favourite vase that has been chipped for ages.
